Post by haste4daylight » Wed Nov 19, 2008 12:16 pm

i have a remote key that has been working for a while now and then yesterday i must of pressed the panic button or something but the alarm went off and then my remote key didn't work anymore. I went to the store thinking the batteries died but they tested the life of the batteries and said they were fine. what could this issue be from?

Hmmm, that depends. Is this a factory remote you are using? If so, did it come with the car originally?
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I think it was autozone, that has a tester for remotes. You point the remote at it, and if it picks up a signal a light goes on.

Our dealer has a remote tester as well.

And any part can fail at any time for any or no reason.
