eibach pro spacer?

im thinking about running the...

-eibach pro spacer 30mm (more agressive look)
-Tokico Hp's
-eibach pro-kit springs

on stock snowflakes, with wide tires.. ill post size later...

will i be rubbing the fender.... or should i be ok?

i dont want answers like wtf why would you run the spacers. im looking for wether it will rub, sit flush, or not even work at all?

also ive searched for pictures but no luck... if you have any plz link me

Moved you to wheels.

That is a huge spacer! In the rear you may be ok, but your wheels will stick out past the fenders in front.

This is my car with the snowflakes using a 8mm front spacer and a 16mm rear. It brings the wheels out quite nicely I think with no rub issues.

Also, you said you want wide tires on the snowflakes. How wide are you planning on going? Remember, that wheel is only 6" wide, so you are limited to width. In those pics I am running a 205 tire and they are pretty fat for the rim.

danteneon, did you get longer studs to safely use the spacers your running?

Because Im sure I read somewhere that more than a 5mm begins to stress the studs and past 10mm, you dont have many threads left and your askin for trouble....

holy shit dude 30mm is over an inch lol. I've got 25mm (~1")spacers on my miata, I'm not sure I would even go any bigger.

But all you really need to do is look at your neon and imagine the wheel/tire, further out about an inch. My guess is, you're going to stick out past the fender. Remedy: slam it, bunch of negative camber. But I've rarely seen a neon do that

Running wider tires is going to make the whole rubbage issue even worse.... you will probably have to run some negative camber. I know I was rubbing when I was slammed in the rear on my R/T, with 17x7.5 35mm offset 5zigens, with a 205/40/17. You might get away with just rolling the fender lip a lil. Mine cracked when I did it tho. Try heat.

I put longer studs on the rear for the spacer I used. I got them through Dorman. I could use 1 spacer in the front "safely" with stock studs, but I was using two per side on the rear and I had to get the studs. I now just run one spacer per side on the rear with the SRT wheels.

But to be honest, I should of used longer studs in the front as well. But I like to live dangerously

I saw and considered this 30mm spacer, too! I found it at the following site:

I am also considering new (eibach) struts to go with. I don't care much about sticking out....well, as long as it doesn't stick out over 2-3 inches from a side view I think its cool. Gives the neon a broader look (just a thought -- I wounder if these 30 mm spacers work well with hi-perf lowering springs?

To maintain the context here, though, how durable and safe are these 30mm spacers -- has anyone tried them, say, at the track?

A 30mm spacer would almost definitely rub the fender, especially with a soft spring set like the eibachs. Somewhere between 5-10mm should be more than enough to get the look you're going for.

dont forget to make sure you are getting good thread engagement on the wheel studs.

better off getting longer ones.

modern says anymore then 5mm spacer and you need longer wheel studs. 30mm without longer studs=goodbye wheels sometime in the near future. we have 25mm spacers on the front and i couldnt imagine not putting the longer studs on!!

Maybe I don't get it...the 30mm eibach spacer is sold with longer studs. Do you mean studs even longer than those sold with the set??

Secondly, what about converting the bolt pattern to 5x114.3, to go for a wider wheel with the 30mm Eibach? For example, say 15x8's, and 205/55R15's >> http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... es&place=0

That set up gives clearance, and a wider stance. I'm considering the 5x114.3 bolt pattern (anyone done this?). Here is the wheel in a 15x8 I'm considering (extremely low offset) >> http://www.performanceplustire.com/prod ... prodAnchor

If I can do a bolt pattern change, I could even drop down to a 40 aspect if it creates rubbing issues with the fender. Your thoughts...

That wheel you link to has a negative 27 offset. combine that with a 30 mm adapter and your car will look like this:

If you like that look great, I don't and your wheel bearings won't either.
