just cuz we don't like your style of mods, doesn't mean we're all rookies. and just because we like to keep our cars clean, and not unGodly over the top, that doesn't mean that we don't know what we are doing. so before you call us rookies, the 90's called, they want that played out front bumper back.

Oh Snap!

Yea.. us Rookies don't know shit. I've only been in the SCCA and competing regularly since 2001.

for you lil rookies who just started working on your cars bring your game up
you're kidding, right? how long have you been working on YOUR car?

im not exactly a rookie. plus, there's no need to call me a rookie because i have different tastes than you. just expressing my opinion.

say what you like, but not everyone is into show cars. i'm one of them. deal with it. not everyone is going to like your car.

and i think my game is up actually. form follows function, that's why you'll see no over the top mods on my car. see who you're getting respect from next time youre at a show. probably kids who don't know much about tuning, and just like loud stereos and body kits. i get mine from tuners who have cars much faster and better than mine, so that, to me, says a lot.

but as long as you like your car, that's all that matters in the end. we're all enthusiasts here.

You've done some nice work yo. Doesn't matter what I think about the car (not what I'd want, but looks good). You've obviously thought through what you wanted and it looks like you did it right

guys i dont want to get into your arguements.. but
typically the guys who say they dont like "over the top"mods are typically people who have minimal mods come on guys.. show him some love. anyone can buy a neon and do springs and intake and wheels.. look at the creativity and love for a car, i like the look of a car you dont see everyday..

"see who you're getting respect from next time youre at a show. probably kids who don't know much about tuning, and just like loud stereos and body kits. i get mine from tuners who have cars much faster and better than mine, so that, to me, says a lot."

dont say something like that neon2ner. i have been in the scene for a while and with many different cars from all out performace to luxury to my current wild show car. i give respect to people who are innovative and do things that are 'bolt on'...

anyways im sure ill see you around. i know alot of people dont like our types of car but the beauty of owning a show car is that it is your show car, you can make it how you like it.. BE DIFFERENT, dont be like everybody else

But not everyone can drive a car at the limit.

There's more to a car than just how it looks.

true that, but when building a show car... looks sometimes are more important than performace.

and just because we don't like the wild show stuff, and are more driven for performance, doesn't mean we are rookies and need to step our game up.

TNK... lol not at all... my daily driven car has MINIMAL mods...
my point was this guys who said
"see who you're getting respect from next time youre at a show. probably kids who don't know much about tuning, and just like loud stereos and body kits. i get mine from tuners who have cars much faster and better than mine, so that, to me, says a lot."

he was making a comment on how stupid he wasy for saying step up your game... then he comes with this equally stupid comment. i gave props to this kid. im not a kid. i know ALOT about tuning and i like his car

anyways to stay on TOPIC.. i like the car.. do the headlights... work on your seats... those are my thoughts on the car

good luck bro and see you at some shows soon... i just received the HIN 09 schedule and i will be doing some northern shows so i hope to see some new 2gn.org members thhere...also doind texas this year

uncalled for. i am far from stupid, and there's no need for personal insults. you don't need to agree with me, but no need for that shit. also in hindsight, my comment wasn't really thought through well enough, as i had just gotten off a 12 hour shift, and obviously didn't get my point across at all. i apologize.

i don't like what he's done with his car, and that's my opinion. not everyone is going to like your's either. however, i do appreciate good work. your car, lexeon, is better built than his in my opinion. i do appreciate the work you've put in and where you've gone with the car. hell, you're even boosted. i just think his car looks a little too thrown together. there's nothing wrong with a show car, but in order for me to really get into it (maybe i'm just too much of a perfectionist) it has to be built right. i'm just not feeling it.
anyone can buy a neon and do springs and intake and wheels
sometimes even the way you do that can be unique. you don't always have to be over the top to be noticed, especially with people who notice the small things.

there's a place for show, and go, and sometimes both. props to anyone who likes any or all of these. to each their own. no offense to anyone, obviously, but sometimes feedback is helpful if you want to improve to do better at shows.

anyways, whatever! no need to hate. happy modding, keep up the good work.

scott...thanks for clearing it up.. i wasnt trying to insult, just trying to make a point that people say stuff that comes off different that they orginally thought. i think he said step uop your game, saying he is winning at his shows, so no one is touching him right now. but i often mis inteerprete things...

modding is cool because it is unique. also my car is WAY OVER THE TOP...alot of people hate it, people call it rice... i call it SHOW... im gonna be building a new car that people are going to say WHY... but it will be a widebody 600 HP lexus. but we all friends here just giving advice ... sorry if i came off like a prick.. thats not what i was going for.

but it will be a widebody 600 HP lexus.
dude, i would never say "why!?" to that at all! it better be an IS-F! haha.

i work at a lexus/toyota dealership, and i took the IS-F for a rip to get gas just before it was delivered. i didn't get much of a chance to test it out, as the gentleman who bought it was there waiting for it. what a retarded car. a lot of the aftermarket got a hold of it already, and i saw pics of some widebodied/twin turbo's IS-F's at SEMA.

so, what lexus will you be wide-bodying? GS 300/400 (the generation of your headlights)? IS 300? IS 350 or IS-F? old school boat of an LS 400? RX? i'm curious.

happy modding.

tony....

lol at this thread......i guess ill add to this....

i love his conversion and the whole integration w/ the kaminari bumper.....i do agree he needs to redo his interior, clean up some of the exterior and completely rework his engine....

my only problem with the car other than what he needs to do is the front bumper....i don't like it at all lol....but i love the rear....

when u want to build a showcar...u need to be different....me and him go to the same shows......you have to do what u like ...and also appeal to the judges.....and to win...need to outdo ur competition....

if i lived in bumblefcuk alabama or something i would think i'd win first all the time...but you have to play to your level of competition..and here in jersey its tough...

he kills me in paint and custom exterior work.....i think his interior still beats me.....out stereo scores tie cuz we each have nothing..(tho i think he's doing it now)..but my motor kills him.....

i want to post a ncca judge sheet just to show the type of stuff they judge
