Yea it was good timing, the weather and the fact that my brother was being about to be fined for a zoning violation for having a broken down car on his property.

Now this is the proper way to remove an engine...cut the front of the car off!

Unfortunately that trick doesn't work so well on install

It wasn't an ACR, just a "normal" SRT

And yes, everything got used...cluster, column, all wiring, everything.

And thank you Chris :D

Well not much has happened since the swap. I had a few issues that I had to fix but nothing major. The newest upgrade was set of stage 3 coilovers that I bought from latief for a very good price.

The install was pretty straight forward done it a few times.

Also this past week we had a few beautiful days so I decided to take some pictures and let u all see how the car sits. Also before anyone says anything I am planning a paint job sometime next fall but I got to collect some parts first. So here my baby

I don't think the side skirts go with the lip kit. And you need to paint the door handle to match, IMO. I'm sure you are planning on it. And pull the hood a bit further forwards so there isn't that much of a gap.

Other than that the wheels look sexy with the color....and everything else looks great. :)

I'd talk to Hudson_Neon about closing the hood gap, because he did it and looked really good! I don't know if he raised his bumper and lowered his hood striker, or what...

Other than that, I agree with what was said above. Also, I think you should color match the grille inserts with the rest of the car, and paint the lower grilles in trim black. Oh, and get your damn exhaust centered! LoL

I Actually had somebody make the same comment about the sideskirts and the lip kit but when he saw it in person he said it looked alot better than he thought. Also I have a paint job coming like I said and everything will be re-painted, the car has 3 noticeable dents and I have the bubble from the old trim. The quote I got wasnt bad I just have other parts that I need to get so I can just do 1 paint projects instead of several different ones.

The grill inserst are color matched I had them painted with the sideskirts and lip kit. It almost hurt my feelings to read that but then when I looked at the pics I can see how you tought they werent

Much easier to do everything at once, I wholeheartedly agree with you on that. Can't wait to see the finished product. Are you staying with the same color?

ahh the most important question and seriously I am not too sure. I alwayz say yes but the question repeats itself in my head and I get these thoughts of other colors and but I would only change colors if I could do the engine bay and since it probably wont happen i will most likely keep the stock color with a lil more gloss. My friend got his car done and he had a horrible burgundy color but the painter put a show finish to it and it looks amazing so Im hoping he can give me the same result. I know i will paint the top of the car black and I will have the rims painted black with color matched spokes.

LoL! Ah, I see now...you just need some better pictures in better lighting! Seriously though...talk to Hudson_Neon (EJ) about closing the hood gap. He's a good guy and he'll help ya out on that issue.

So I havent updated this in over a year, so I think its time to share my plans for the summer and honestly I want most of this done before carlisle.

In order:

1. Buy and Install turbo kit
2. Pull motor and shave and paint the engine bay (maybe a wire tuck depending on time.)
3. I would really like my car re-painted but most likely I will only be able to get the rear bumper, hood and door handles painted.

So my last mod was to fit 02 euro tails on my 03 rear end and honestly it was a pain but im close to being done and ill let the paint shop finish it
Image

Also heres the next step just picked up this kit today, Nothing crazy just a lil help for running down those hondas

Image

Also picked up these mounts, they just look better.

Ill try to keep you guys updated but no promises, I get carried away with stuff and I forget to take pics lol but hopefully my next post on here wont be next year.

Do you have any daytime shots of the tails on the car? I remember seeing that thread, pretty badass IMO.

How did you do that rear bumper? Did you cut the top and bottom from an early rear and mold it on? I'm having trouble figuring it out for sure.
