Hello Guys,
I am looking at this Elemental Designs Sub/Amp combo for $450:
http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_inf ... cts_id=759
Have any of you had any experience with these components or Elemental Designs itself?
I am also having a hard time deciding which version to get, the duel 2Ohm(4 or 2 Ohm load) or the duel 4Ohm( 2 or 8 Ohm load).
The amp can put out 450w.@4Ohm; 900w.@2Ohm; and 1200w.@1 Ohm. (all RMS@12.5V) The 13Av.2 can handle 1200w. RMS. I would like to use all 1200 watts but what I am worried about is the stress of running the amp at 1 Ohm daily- Should I be worried?
Do you think a Amp is any less reliable at a 1 Ohm load? The set has a 5 year warranty so they must have confidence in their product, right?
Also if I do run it in 1 Ohm mode could I just turn down the gain to relieve the stress(is it the watts or the ohms that stresses the amp?)
Sorry about all the questions but $450 is alot for me and I don't want to make the wrong decision here!

Ed.Nine.1's are great amps.
You dont have to worry about the stressing the amp, more about having the proper battery/alt to handle the amp.
Theyre subs im not too familiar with but if u want the most out of it get dual 2ohm and wire it down to 1.
