Ah yes... get raked over the coals for spending?

Then hide what you are doing.

I have a real issue with the arrogance of executives/management in corporations.

They blame their economic woes on everything else BUT their own management.

Agreed. The usual finger pointing at UAW workers for "high wages" galls me as well.

Thats really fucked up. They're complaining about money and yet they take their jumbo jet instead of paying for a plane ticket, which would be countless dollars cheaper.

Not sure if you guys watch Meet the Press, but two Sundays ago there were a couple of Senators on there, one who was strictly for the bill and the other strictly against it. But both agreed on one thing. The management at GM needs to change and it needs to change now. I forget the name of the guy they were referring to, but he is one of the main reasons for GM's monetary issues as of late. And he was asked if there was a bailout, would he resign his position so someone more knowing could take it, and he said "absolutely not".

Fire the moron, get people with good heads on their shoulders on the boards, and maybe then the government would be willing to help since they made the first step by helping themselves.

You can't help someone that doesn't realize there is a problem. *sigh*

No, obviously they just DON'T get it. :banghead: It P!SSES me off, too.

"They" seem to think that it will be "life as usual" and that Washington is gonna write them a check to cover their asses.

The REALLY BAD news is that, of course, it is the regular WORKING MEN AND WOMEN of the assembly plants, who will ultimately PAY for the stoooopidity of these arrogant cocksuckers (oooops, i meant to say, 'CEO's.) :tardbang:

It isn't the UAW's fault 100% but they are contributing to the problem. The Big 3 do not pay their benefits every customer that buys the cars do. Look at all the Japanese car makers that have plants here in the US and they are having an easier go of it because they are not unionized. Unions are a dinosaurs that are out of its place in time. I know this is going to piss some people off but unions are one of the reasons why many jobs are going overseas.

Foreign transplants pay and benefits are close to UAW pay and benefits simply because the UAW exists. Who do you think got decent pay, employer-funded healthcare, etc. for American workers? Once the union is no more, US Honda and Toyota employees will find that their pay and benefits will begin shrinking to be more "in line" with "world wages" since there will no longer be competition with union jobs. Mark my words, you read it here first. :cussing:

Disclaimer- I have never been a UAW member although I have been in the Sheet Metal Workers and Teamsters unions. My sister was in the UAW when she worked at Kokomo Transmission in the 1970's. And my late father was an executive for the majority of the 37 years that he worked for Chrysler Corporation.

I have been at UPS for almost 3 years. Haven't joined the Union. Don't like the fact they take money out of my check. As long as I work hard, and come to work on time, don't call in all the time I will be fine.

So many workers here that do horrible things but they get their ass bailed out by the union. this one dude named Chris supposedly gets "hurt" or has "surgery" Which is all total BS 90% of the time. He even told me he knows how to work the system. He gets a slap on the hand and thats that.

I know of some union workers that work their ass off day in and day out and I totally respect them. But there are a slew of others like Chris that ruin that reputation.

I'm sorry I have no respect for somebody who gets $30/hr to fill transmissions and then says that its too complicated to fill them with the correct fluid so we have to use ATF in everything
Watch this its what a proper car factory looks like.

They need to all start following the lead of the CEO of Ford, Allan Mulally and join the $1 pay club! Its like all the people who took out loans for houses they couldn't afford and are now dependent on the government and the rest of us taxpayers to bail them out.

Nardelli isn't any better to Chrysler since HE was the one who put Home Depot to the ground.
