Is anyone here running wastegate controlled boost? What wastegate are you running?
I don't know whether to buy the kinetic or the AGP....I hear the AGP holds boost better.
AGP's 3147 kit is $1200...so tempted

Kinetics is like $99 which is pretty nice...it looks like a cheap can opener but Modern Performances descriptions says it's about the same quality as AGP's just cheaper
I know AGP's shit is pretty overpriced so idk

I think AGP makes one for about 300. How much boost you trying to hold? I thought about gettin that and a manual boost controller and pushin my stock turbo to 18 psi or so.

Get the Forward Motion WGA. Arguably the best on the market.

Thats right 150. Mine is stock cept for a K&N drop filter and 2.5 inch straight exhaust with just 1 glasspack. Id like to up the boost or get that programmer that Diablo has out now.

I believe PTP is having a sale for $99 shipped. How does it hold up to the AGP unit? A LOT of people seem to like the AGP piece...did you have problems with it?

I have the s3r wastegate now, but will be upgrading to the AGP s3 one with the rest of my winter spending. Heard nothing but good things, and a lot of the guys on srt forums run it to. I would spend the extra change and get the AGP, since AGP is a very reputable company.

I was running an AGP with PTP upgraded spring and I liked it a lot, the agp unit is a real quality piece. I'm moving on to bigger power goals now otherwise i would keep running it. It's for sale now, pm me if interested

Hopefully you get it tuned right under WGA control. I hear a ton of people that just try to tune it with the arm to set the spike and what not and they actually lose power when they get the car dynod.
I had a Slowboy AKA PTP WGA and I didn't like the driveability of the car being off computer controlled. So much Partial Thrtottle Boost and the car seemed slower. Make sure youg et a Map clamp or something so the CPU doesn't pull timing. Remember, a stock PCM to stage 1 will only see up to 18 lbs of boost. Over that you will start to lose power unless its tuned right.

PTB is the reason I didn't go with any aftermarket WGA when I had my SRT. Good old Mother Mopar made the S2 WGA which allowed me to hold more boost and stay every driveable. (260whp, 300ft.lbs) and the S3 WGA was just fine too (332whp, 354ft.lbs)
