New guy here, My 2000 Neon

First off let me just say if the hood wasn't bad under the bra I would have taken that off the day I got the car, but as bad as it looks with the bra it's not as bad as what it's hiding.

The white mirrors are black now, and the white drums and calipers are now black drums and red calipers:)
Also I didnt think to take any before pics but when I put the stock wheels back on and raise it back up I'll be sure to snap a few pics.

Since I got the car I've replaced plugs, wires, gave her a fresh oil change and flushed/filled the tranny and put in a new trans filter as well. My future plans are to do a srt4 front end conversion, swap out the boring aut trans for a 5 speed, and try getting a gauge cluster that has a tach and for some reason I really like the silver/carbonfiber looking hvac surround thing...

not a huge fan of huge ass mufflers like that on neons. always like the dual exhaust look better. also you could do cheap upgrades like UDP, CAI, and MSD IGNITION to start. Rims look fine to me. Also this really kinda belongs in the picture thread not exterior.

Woohoo another 00. Wait, you put the stockers on and raised it back up? I'd tint the lights and try to get a cluster with a tach, then I guess it'd look like my car. Thats a pretty clean engine bay too.

I'm only rasing it back up and swapped the wheel cause the weather here sucks and the wheels are lyterally brand new. I only had them on the car 3 or 4 days before taking them back off. once spring/summer rolls back around it'llbe back on the ground with the new shoes on it:) hopefully by then ill have a carbonfiber hood on it and a srt4 front end conversion:)

Ooh, Zanesville.

I liked the raked look you've got going on. Now just put the lid back on your airbox so you're not sucking in warm air, pull that goofy fartcan off the back, learn to drive stick, and you'll be alright! Also, good choice on the painting. White on silver just looks like someone was color-blind.

when spring/summer rolls around I'm gonna lower it and have it even front and back, I put the cover back on already just showed what I did about the filter. And I already know how to drive a stick, my VR4 is a stick. Saw you're from sandusky we're not that far apart! are there ever any Ohio meets?

What kind of coilovers are on there? Picts? Ebay special?

Lose the tails, fart can and bra. Other than that, clean ride. You will ahve to get new headlights too with the SRT-4 front end conversion.

I swear silver had to of been th emost produced color in 2000 for neons....it must of been like half were silver..lol

Welcome, and very clean car, I agree with lilnicko11 that styl exhaust just doesn't look good with that bumper.

yea the fart can is gone now! Back to a stock muffler. It's just a lot better to me cause it's an automatic and a fart can on an auto is just....dumb. I found a silver hood at the junkyard but I wont be able to get it till tomorrow so bye bye bra!!! lol As for the tails I kinda like them. I think it goes well with the silver.... But I might pick up a set of stock ones anyways just in case I decide to change my mind. As for the headlights any ideas how to clean them up? they are so fogged up that even my high beams are not so bright...

When my car was in the body shop, the guy used some plastic polish and progressively finer sand paper they look brand new now.

so yea went, washed the car, and decided to snap a couple pics. notice the huge white wipers are no longer, and the mirrors are black:) Slowly but surly..... Hood is getting put on tomorrow!!! Along with window tint!!

Hey guys don't mean to bug ya but I just put in my stock gauges with a tach I bought from a junkyard (along with my "carbonfiber" hvac surround and shift surround thing) and I noticed that there's a red "dot" above my check engine light... Any idea what that is??

I like it. And your engine bay is ridiculously clean... how the hell.. lol.

And that red dot.. I don't want to say something and be wrong, buuuut I believe it has something to do with the stock security system..? *shrugs* I have a Viper alarm system installed in mine so I don't pay attention to that red dot.

I have a feeling I'm not even close to being right about the red dot lol.

Lol yea it was freezing!!! I tried drying off the car but it didn't work out too well due to it turning to ice lol I like the wing, but if I had the choice I'd much rather prefer the srt4 style wing.

Side note* would a srt4 wing bolt up in the same place as my wing?

same here i have the dot and i dont even notice not only that but i have my brake ligh and abs at all time bcuz i have the srt4 and my car no abs the hand brake i have no idea why!! but i have an viper alarm also so dont care either lOL

Sadly xmas forced me to spend my money on everyone else so I had to pass on the window tint... but that will come soon enough. And I know the bra looks like shit but the hood under it is FAR worse.
