Way to go. let the other 2gners who use IE get hacked too!! Plus Mozilla keeps up with their shit and by far is WAY more secure then IE even IF there were hackers trying to crack it.Adionik wrote:Shut up dude, the less people that use Firefox, the less people that need to make exploits to hack into firefox.
IE is used by like 98% of the world or something...no shit their going to have millions trying to hack it

Friend: "Mac doesn't have any known viruses"
Me: "Because more people and businesses use PC and hackers/viruses are out to get majority"
Friend: "W/E you don't know anything about computers. Mac is better"
Me: "If you say so.. but I wonder.. if Mac is SOOOO much better then why does %99 of the world use PCs?"
Friend "Uhhhhhh....."
Me: *walks away laughing*

I will 1/2 agree with that.. I know more people who use Firefox than IE.. so I wouldn't be too sure. Also.. Microsoft products, in most cases, suck balls. lolracer12306 wrote:You don't like Mac's because you haven't used them where they excel over PC's. For most of the public PC's are all they will ever need.
Anyways,
so you are agreeing with me that more people are attacking IE because more people use IE.

and IE isn't even in the list.... lolIn a list, published by security firm Bit9, of 12 most vulnerable applications for the Windows platform, Firefox finished at the top of the list.
The browser has earned the reputation from Mozilla patching 10 vulnerabilities which could be used to gain control, access, or execute miscellaneous code via buffer overflow, malformed URI links, javascript, documents and third party tools.
The browser is well respected throughout its open source community. Users can download add-ons, themes and many other tweaks that users can be used to adjust, modify and tweak their browser for maximum performance and appearance.
Bit9 posted a list of the top 12 vulnerable applications:
1. Mozilla Firefox
2. Adobe Flash and Adobe Acrobat
3. EMC VMware Player,Workstation and other products
4. Sun Java JDK and JRE, Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
5. Apple QuickTime, Safari and iTunes
6. Symantec Norton products (all flavors 2006 to 2008)
7. Trend Micro OfficeScan
8. Citrix Products
9. Aurigma Image Uploader, Lycos FileUploader
10. Skype
11. Yahoo Assistant
12. Microsoft Windows Live (MSN) Messenger

we don't. but you should. i don't think he's posting this info because he cares about everyone's security, but rather for your own information so you can make a semi-informed choice about your security. none of us really care if your bank account gets hacked, but you should, so wouldn't you want to at least try to keep your information safe?superdan wrote:now i dont know if you really care
He hates Macs because he is a republican...right?GreeNeons03 wrote:I gave Firefox a chance for the longest time. I couldn't take it anymore so I switched back to IE. I'm thinking about giving Chrome a shot sometime though.

i understand what you are saying, and i agree that he trying to help other people out and i thank him for that its just i feel he trying to give a bad name to IE when the author of that article isnt. i just thought a source backed up your opinion or views.jT wrote:we don't. but you should. i don't think he's posting this info because he cares about everyone's security, but rather for your own information so you can make a semi-informed choice about your security. none of us really care if your bank account gets hacked, but you should, so wouldn't you want to at least try to keep your information safe?superdan wrote:now i dont know if you really care
i mean do you really click on all the links in your fake emails and sign into fake sites with your information and willingly let your accounts be stolen, or do you ignore/delete them?
i'm not sure what kind of point you are trying to make.......

rOniN wrote:As for the mac/pc thing...I like the macs but I hate the company and how they do things. They overcharge for the product and then if you need an accessory they charge 5 times what it should be and you can only get it from them. Pc's are univeral and have much more to offer for me since I get into windows and need to be able to change settings and files that I would not be able to get to on a mac.
The mac commercials to me seem to be helping pc since they are making the pc guy out to be really funny and that sells. Anyone else feel this way?
If you found a website with a virus then I think you should consider not going to it anymore, even if you don't get it with Opera. That virus may not be the only one it spreads around. Antivirus and firewall software isn't perfect.rOniN wrote:
As for Firefox, I figued I would try it out. I used it last week and the funny thing was is that I got slammed by a nice little virus. I had to do a lot of damage control because of it. I didn't go to any other side that I have not been to before on Opera and never had a problem. Firefox isn't bad but it is slow and seems to have some holes in it.

You are mistaken sir. I have used a Mac to attempt to edit video using Final Cut Pro. I got so fed up with it that I just ended up using my laptop.racer12306 wrote:Like I said, you never used a Mac where it excels over a PC. Once you do you will understand.
