Beater time money is piling!
what should i get for a beater anywhere form 500-1000 bucks (i know its not alot but if i get more then that its going into my car lol) i was thinking a s10 blazer or a s10 pick up doesnt have to be great on gas but fairly easy to work on if something poops out and easy to get parts for

Yeah seriously...how is a neon luxurious enough to require a beater?03blackrt wrote:Neon!![]()
What else would you expect on a Neon forum? I got my current 2000 (135k miles) for $1200.

A first gen Neon can be had for that amount of money.
I wouldn't consider an S-10 (truck or SUV) to be easy to work on.

For a beater, If I ever do decide to get one, I want to get a 95-99 eclipse, I just like that body style, you could look into that, or an integra...

Beater? Yes
Hard to find? Yes
Hard to get parts? Yes
Easy to work on ? YES!
For me a winter beater should have decent traction. Pickups being light in the rear don't have that... at least that has been my experience. Now, if you fill the back with a load and run around like that... that is another story. I used to fill the back of my pickup with snow in the winter.
Since you already have a Neon... why not get another Neon?

A classic is not a beater.
I'd get another Ford Escort if I had the money... easy to work on, don't fucking die, and the only problem is they're solid rust.
The only reason i stored my neon in the winter was because I was working on it the entire time. Why are you storing yours exactly?

I've got a good friend selling one of them for really cheap. It's a beater just like you're looking for, pretty good on gas, blah blah blah. Let me know if you want more details.bone-yard-racing wrote:1gn RX7
Seriously they can be rebuilt with screwdriver and a pair of vice-grips for about $9. Oh and it looks/sounds/drives/occasionally starts in the most amazing way

I agree, I like old cars like that too. Before I could drive, when I had to ride the bus to school (shiver), we would pass by a car lot that had two or three card that looked like that one, compleate with rust. I used to dream about getting one and fixing it up. Unfortuantly now, that car lot went out of buisness.Trinity wrote:thats gorgeous!GreeNeons03 wrote:Found one for you:
