cruise control kit problems need help please

Post by JerryR » Sun Dec 28, 2008 11:59 am

Hello,

i bought i cruisecontrol kit from te dealer. i build it in as the manual says. i double checked everything.

but i have one problem. when i press on the on/off button, in the dash apears "cruise" so that part is working.

bus when im driving and i want to SET the cruisecontrol, it doesn't set.

i've read in the trouble shouting manual, that the PCM gives negative signals to the cruise servo, i think that my pcm doesn't
do i need a special pcm of do i have to programm it?

thanx

What is the part # of the kit you got, and what year/type of Neon is it going on?
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

From his site, it appears to be a 2002.
The bottom of the instruction sheet has this # K6858463 date: 02/23/01.

Hmmm, good looking out

The part # for the kit should have been 82207709. Reading over the instructions I have on PDF here shows this to be very straight forward. If you are having any issues with the operation of it, I would be sure to check everything again to be sure it was wired correctly.

Also, this kit is for domestic Neons. I wouldn't think it would be different for export models, but it may be :-k

i'm driving a 2001 neon, i;ve double checked the wires, the on/of signal reached the PCM so the wires from the steeringwheel are oké

the servo goes on and off when i pres the on/off switch. if i press the break the servo goes off so that wires are oke.

the only two wires from the PCM to the servo
do not word (PCM doesnt send this signal)

this are the wires:

V35 (Vent solenoid)
V36 (Vacuum solenoid)

this wires need to set the servo on the right speed.

does somebody know if the resistors from the steeringwheel buttons are different? with other models of neons?

i mean that my PCM needs other resistors to respond on the buttons?
