Bumper paint

Post by Xtian » Wed Dec 31, 2008 12:21 pm

I think I got a okay deal $150 for the bumper + $160 for painting it.
Or I can just buy the bumper and paint it myself, is it going to cost less or more, what do you think?

I got a quote for $200 - $250 to paint an srt rear. That includes sanding and priming, and I know he does good work. Make sure whoever does it plans on doing prep work.

Why would it cost more to buy the bumper and not pay someone to paint it than it would to buy the bumper AND pay someone to paint it?

It's clear which method is cheaper, but that's where glasswar's post comes into play.

in all seriousness i wouldnt at anytime pay to get something painted on the car unless it ws the entire thing. like i redid my whole front with fenders and all back in july for $35 bucks. ( already had some clear )

but if u got a paint gun go ahead and paint it urself its not rocket science to paint something i never painted before i did my front.

^^true if you have the equipment all ready.if not then pay for it to be done.the supporting equipment + paint to do your bumper will be far more than you would be charged to have it done.trust me i know  but now i am hooked so i dunno......
