Need opinion on price
Need opinion on price
What do you think this car is worth.
2003 black neon r/t.
91,000 miles
Stock
Mopar lip kit
Body is mostly good condition. Minor dents and or scratches
Runs good and everything works on it.
Not sure if it has a sunroof, cd changer, or anything else.
What do you think this would be sold for? Im considering one that has minor rear damage. I was planning on fixing it and possibly reselling it in the spring or summer if I decide not to keep it. I want to know what you think this car is worth repaired? Title is not salvaged. No frame damage at all.

The "major damage repaired, it would be worth fair market/KBB for that point in time. Or what ever someone is willing to pay. Really depends on what happens in the economy in the next 6 months.

91.000 miles?!
I'm going to say $4k max
A lot of people look down on mileage that high. They still have that mentality "imports last forever, domestic break down quick"
So yeah...

Re: Need opinion on price
I could be wrong but neons' dont have that great of a resale value.....hence if you're gonna shellout some bread and still have the idea of fixing it up to resale it i wouldnt bother you'd be taking a loss unless you're doing the body work repairbillm0066 wrote:What do you think this car is worth.

He never said what he was buying it for, just what he could sell it for, if he decided to. With the damage, the buying price is prolly more along the lines of $1500 to $2200.Ironman Alloyz wrote:if your buying it to mod it (+2) then shell out the $3500

Re: Need opinion on price
Im buying the car for less than $2,000. I was looking for a 2nd car just in case my 01 srt swapped car ever had a problem I would have a backup. I can get a black rear bumper for $65 locally, and I would probably have a bodyshop fix the rear quarter panel. I havent seen the car yet. Im hoping to see it over the weekend. I had $4500 as a guess of what its worth.Ironman Alloyz wrote:I could be wrong but neons' dont have that great of a resale value.....hence if you're gonna shellout some bread and still have the idea of fixing it up to resale it i wouldnt bother you'd be taking a loss unless you're doing the body work repairbillm0066 wrote:What do you think this car is worth.

I wasnt assuming you we're trying to rebuild and sale the car......i was just saying that if you would have to put that much into that car to make it "pleasurable" i wouldnt that couple grand could go elsewhere is all i was saying
A bodyshop bought it. Peter needed the car for the rear doors. Hes swapping his srt rear doors for these, because hes trying to remove the salvage title from his srt-4. Im going to look at the car on Monday hopefully. He said the bodyshop has a black parts car so they might fix it and resell. As long as they dont bump the price up too much im going to buy it. I believe he said the body shop bought it for $1,500.
