have a 2004 srt-4. i got it july 25th from kentucky. i was aware it had been hit by a tree falling on the front. so the fenders, hood, bumper were replaced. i didn't mind it. it was clean as hell in pictures. had 30k miles on it and i paid 10g. it was 100% stock too besides an aem sri and stockers sprayed flat black.after doing some tlc on the car.. little things wrong here and there. i sold my other car. and then began to mod it. i put 3500 into it from late august to mid october. ran a 13.5 @ 104 off the 2 step @ 2200rpms because i had street tires. cheap sumitumo htrz2s but i still got a 2.1 60 ft. i wot no lift shifted in 2nd and traction owned. lol i think it was capable of 13flat... but i don't get to continue my journey to 400+hp on the spray.....
basically on dec 22nd i was almost side swiped in the front most part of the car by a van but i put about 3ft of my car over the right shoulder lane and i guess there was ice there because the back of the car swung out like i pulled the e-brake on snow. and we headed to the median and flipped 6.5 times. it happened so fast i only remember the noise of glass breaking and crunching metal. also my gf screaming and telling me she loved me. we landed on the roof and crawled out her broken window which the glass cut the top of her hand. we were fine, just shooken up and cold. the guy behind me stopped and called the police and let us sit in his car...... i got a police report, the guy witnessed it, the van just kept going, had michigan plates that is all i remember. because it had passed me a mile or so back.
i'm glad me and my gf wore our seat belts and made it out like we did because ive seen a lot of srt-4 accidents and they are scarey. but i wouldn't have ever thought this would have happened to me though!!
the next day i go to my insurance company, all state and they say i have to call there 1800 # to make the claim. so i do and they say they would look at it from the 23rd - 30th. well it was the 27th when they called and told me to go to the place that towed/stored my car and get the plates, personal things i didn't get and leave the keys. asked my permission to take it to there place the next day. so then the car ended up at insurance auto auction in lorain ohio. i didn't hear anything back by the 5th so i call the 1800 # again and ask what the status is on it. the lady said a guy looked at it that day, i get off at 4:30 so i was able to talk to him. the next day at work they call me so i call them on my 15 min break and ended up coming back 15 min late.
basically i'm getting fucked........ i have full coverage and i'm only getting 8100 back after $500 deductible, rebuilt title that i knew about but shiiit lol. i learned and will never have a rebuilt title car again. cause i could get like 11k+ back at least.
they want 1800 to buy the car back. or i can go get my aftermarket shit off if i put the stock parts back on, which i have them all cause i'm a parts keeper.
so now i will be paying $2500 out of my pocket to pay the loan off. and -1800 if i decide to buy the car back.
right now i am going to try to get more $ out of them. then get the car back because i can make more then 1800 off it and would be able to get the parts i want off it easier.
then i after i am able to pay the car off in a few months lol.. i d k, i would get another srt-4 or possibly swap into a 2001+ regular neon. i don't know what all is involved!! or what... but i would be willing to do the work. my car had 36k on it, nothing wrong with it at all except the previous owners hack job on the bumper that i was getting too and the intercooler is for a 2g dsm, stocker got a big hole in it, got a brand new 12x24x3 3 days after the accident on x-mas. it's a damn shame.

-- no motor or trans w/ it, but everything else, clean body, no rust, small dent on back bumper... but it will get srt-4 bumpers eventually any ways, my rear bumper might be saveable too.. just has a small crack under the tail light.
