fog lights.

Post by MyNeonSaysHi » Wed Aug 31, 2005 1:24 am

My Dodge Neon never came equipped with fog lights. Instead there was just black plastic covers. I am looking for some foglights and I found some on eBay. My question is..since It didn't come equipped with them, would I have to get the wiring too or is that already there for say the side markers? I really want to put foglights there even if they aren't functional. I just think something little like that will make my car look better. Any ideas?

Well I do not know for sure, but I bought some nice fog lights that are not oem and installed them.

Behind the drivers side bumper there was an empty harness clip that I was assuming was the fog lights but I am not sure or not.

Btw those plastic pieces are a pain in the butt to take off, hope you have small arms or a friend who does.

I can attest to those plastic pieces being a pain in the arse to take off. Easiest thing to do? Jack up the car and get underneath and take it off. I tried (and succeeded albeit with blisters at the end) taking them off while the car was still on the ground.

Anyway, according to many, certain m/y came with the wiring already in there. I know i've been told that 2000s have them (the m/y I have). Apparently, they're located near the area where those pieces are. It's been mentioned many times on the other org and neonspeed. It felt like too much work for me to find so I just bought aftermarket ones.

They seem easier to me to install ;)

I recently got replacement fogs for my 02' R/T. I bought the Depo units and they are shaped differently. The shape fits 2000 Neons, and barely looks right on my 2002 bumper. Just letting you know. Watch out, some people don't know how to use the correct years when they advertise their fogs.
