I took my SRT to Dodge last Wednesday. They figured out a few things:

A/C doesnt work because a highside fan isnt wired and some other stuff.

Wastegate "Solenoid" (not sure if he was talkin bout the actuator or not) is bad holding my wastegate open so there is most of my boost problem they said.

Vacumn lines are being run correctly on it.

They also found the cat was gutted which is why it showed the code regarding the cat. No wonder if spools quickly..

I should have it back next Monday or Tuesday if it all pans out. Only about 400 bucks for all of the work done. Not bad I dont figure.

Sounds a bit expensive IMO. You could buy a stock wastegate for $20 and correct that problem, leave the cat alone or buy a fouler for it for about $20 and re-wire the fan....

So...$400 for something that would cost about $60 at the most.

We sent it mostly to get the A/C fixed actually. There was some wiring we couldnt figure out when we had it apart as some wires were cut and such. Im gonna just leave the cat as it is and they're gonna rewire that fan. It used to get rather warm drivin it in traffic and havin no A/C was FTL. I cant wait to have it back and makin full boost....be like a brand new car ha.

Another slight update:

Parts should be in at Dodge tommorrow, they'll have it fixed and ready for me to come get it by Thursday. If everything is right on it when I get it back Im gonna order the BFMIC mesh kit for my grille, paint it black and put it on. Then prolly get a cold air intake (if they even make enough of a difference) and go from there.

There is hardly any difference between the power from an SRI compared to a CAI. Hopefully she's all healthy for you :)

Thank ya, right now all Ive got in the stock airbox so surely a CAI would make a difference. I think the K&N one can be swapped to short ram when needed too. If its worth like 10hp Id get one otherwise meh. My hood is never open nor does anybody around here know what a turbo even is so.....yeah..... Im really tryin to edge out this auto 05 Mustang GT. Course I think I can beat him like it sits once I have full boost. More bench racin than anything. Nobody ever lines anything up.

The K&N is the worst intake for an SRT as it's the most restrictive. It's 2.5" versus all the others which are 3". And yes, as the car sits if it's running well it will take him just fine.

Sweet, saved me 210 bucks then lol. As always LSP thanks for the insight. I suppose its plenty fast enough as it sits. Exterior mods....hmm....

Got it back yesterday. Full boost feels like a brand new car. Aint much like spinnin through 2nd. 300 bucks for all the repairs. They run it on the computer, rewired my fan, put the actuator on and a few other things. Although they said my PCM was bad and I need to get a new one for the highside fan to work correctly. I also have to replace some of the A/C parts so itll work. Right now I could really careless about the A/C and Ill just wire in a switch for my fan into the car. Problem solved eh?

I have the fan switch....well it's not a switch but it's on constant. Just trip the control relay ground. :)

That'd work, Ill prolly do it once it gets closer to summer time. I was throwin the code P0243 or waste gate solienoid 1 BS. I can boost brake to 17 psi lol, but if you just stab it itll only make about 12psi of boost which is still plenty enough. I think the air last night may have had somethin to do with that too.

Just run a wire from the ground on the battery to the ground on the relay. It's that simple :)

After I got in front school today I decided its time for a little spring cleaning for my car. Pics will come tmrw.

Weapons of Mass Destruction:
Image

I know I fail at car care but heres what I did:

1. Washed it off, knocked all the loose dirt off with the water hose.
2. Used the Armor All car wash stuff and buffed it on. Streaked the shit out of it but managed to know all the dirt and grime off the car.
3. Took the car to the car wash and washed it off with their pressure washer.
4. Sprayed wheel cleaner on the wheels and washed them off. (They will get painted or powercoated soon, they look AWFUL, the person that had this car before me hit EVERY FUCKING CURB!!!!)
5. Brought it home and broke out the Turtle Wax and cleaning cloths. Wax on, wax off. Removed the spoiler and washed/waxed underneath it. It was bad dirty.
6. Back to Blacked the trim, DIDNT WORK, well maybe barely
7.Window cleaner'd all the windows inside and out.

Thats as far as I got today, tommorrow Im going to vacumn it out, armor all/wipe down all the interior and door jambs then get yall some pictars of how she looks. I think I did a helluva job, best its ever looked. Im going to order a mesh grille kit soon, paint it black and install. Try and get the wheels PC'd or painted (black with a red lip) and possibly a STS. Its making about 15-17 psi of boost currently and it will F L Y. So much better than before Dodge messed with it.

If it's been a while, you'll have to make a few passes with the Back to Black for it to REALLY work.

$300 is a small fortune when I was 17. Glad the car is running better now. You are running a different WGA correct?

17 spike seems a bit high for the stock turbo unless you have a bleed in your WGA line or aftermarket WGA.

Ill keep that in mind Random. Its never been done and the car set up a year wrecked before I got it so its pretty rough.

Thanks Neon, Ive actually got a stock WGA on it and itll spike 17 but it holds like 13-15. Im running everything stock except my K&N filter and catback 2.5 inch exhaust with a glasspack.

Now for PICTARS!

Me and my dad installed my CBD grille today. Took about 2 hours. Didnt know the bumper had screw holes in the back so we were able to mount this. I got some pics you guys might can use as reference pics. Never know when that might help. It looks much more completed now. Once the weather gets nice and I get it cleaned up Ill bring yall another photoshoot with the grille in it. Now enough talk here are pictures.

Once I get the A/C and Crank Pulley on it itll be good for a while. I wanna get my business started and get my 4wd into motion if I decide to mod it. Ill probably get gauges and gauge pod for the SRT next if I get anything in the next month or so.

Woah I just tuned in. AT first, I the grill was so fine, that I thought I was looking at your painting a tree black lol. I couldn't see it.

The installed grill looks pretty neat. You should get some pics outside in the sunlight.

I hooked up a manual switch for my highside fans today. They didnt work before because Dodge said the ECU had a ground problem. I spliced into the wire for them (using the tutorial on here) and ran a switch to the change holder under the CD changer. Turns out it dont need a relay, just put a 30 amp switch in there.

Progress So Far:

Windows Tinted 15% sides/5% back

New Wastegate Actuator

Carbon by Design mesh grille kit

Fan Switch Mod

New A/C dryer and expansion valve

2.4L Turbo hood scoop decal

Future mods:

A Pillar Gauge Pod w/Gauges

Repainted calipers

Powdercoated wheels

Black Wingless trunk(maybe if I find one cheap)

Short Throw Shifter

Stage 1 Lowering Springs (maybe)
