I just found the original paper from my car, and its says its a highline. The car was badged as a ES, so I just wondering if there really is a difference.

The date my car was made?

There were 1GN Highline models (my '95 was one of them). If the date you show was indeed the build date, it was an early '00 so perhaps Chrysler was still using the Highline designation as a holdover from the 1GN's and changed it to ES at model introduction time? Yours has the light package so I am envious.

Wow, your car is probably one of the first few off the line for the 2nd generation of neons.

The designation of "highline" is what the factory starts with as a platform to hang the other model specific components, if you will. So a car can be a highline to start, and then the "ES" package is added to it.
Oh, and your car has the heated mirrors as well. Nice!
And yes, that is your build date and time.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I forgot to mention that I have heard that piece of paper referred to as the "bingo sheet." I had the one for my '02 SXT but don't know where the one for my SRT is.

I know on the older cars, sometimes they were under the carpet or under the seat cushions. I couldn't find the one for my Daytona anywhere, but if I can find the Neon one, that would be cool. My friend found his 1969 Valiant Signet build sheet under his rear seat. What a score!

A friend of my dads was shown a build sheet when he was looking at a 69 Olds 442, 3 speed convertable and it was built on his birthday.
needless to say he bought it.
sorry, just a little build sheet story.

Some of the places you may find it is under one of the front or rear seats (tucked in between the seat frame and cushion), under the carpet up by the firewall, or around the glove box behind the dash.
It is rare to find them in cars built after 2001 though

It was in my glove box, so I guess my father found it when he owned the car. I'll ask him when he gets home, if he did. Yea, the heated mirros came in handy the other day, we had a little bit of freezing rain and they thawed nicely.

Maybe with the newer technology, they don't need to print one out anymore./? "Just scan the barcode and it's entered."

So, the story is my father got the car straight off the truck. Someone left one of the map lights on and it killed the battery. The car was what he wanted, so he told them to just jump it and let him take it for a ride. They never really had their hands on the car long. He said the paper was in the glove box when he got the car.
