The SRT-D Hood and the SRT4 Hood are the same. The only difference is the insert. The Insert for non-SRT4's said SRT-DESIGN or something close to that effect. If you don't have an SRT4 thats the "proper" insert.

Before anymore questions start:
Yes, the SRT-4 and SRT-D use the same hood,5134116AC - $1140msrp
The difference is the SRT-4 has a hood scoop insert,5029249AB - $197msrp that states 2.4l Turbo on it and is a functioning insert to allow airflow into the engine compartment to help cool off the turbocharger to help prevent cowl panel meltdown.
The SRT-D insert, 5152032AA - $129msrp, is more of a decorative plug.Since the "Design" model did not have a turbo, there was no need to have a functioning hood scoop. This insert had the marking of SRT Design on it and did not allow any airflow through the hood

The air passages are there, the plastic scoop insert that says SRT Design is just blocking air from entering those passages.

The real WTF here is that they would charge $200 for a small piece of plastic!

When you pull out the insert, can't you just cut out the back to allow air to flow through?

Whats the point? Its not like youre engine runs any hotter than a normal neon. This is why they didnt make it functional, because it's not needed on your car.

What's the point? Well in that case what's the point in an SRT-D?
