Winter shots of my nyg srt swap's engine bay.

Post by dajokerx2 » Fri Jan 30, 2009 3:48 am

Kind of sad my camera phone takes better pics than my crap camera. Still not the greatest pics..can't get at good angles since there's tons of snow around my car..damn snow. I never got around to sanding the clear and I don't believe I cleaned the engine bay too well after it was all assembled..so it's still a bit on the dirty looking side. In any case still alot of work to do before it's how I want it...Almost 4 years after the initial swap and it's still progressing :-)

It's a rare aem 1st gen true cai that was basically shaped like an iceman.. I hacked it in half lol..so much for it's rareness. I need to get a different tube to place my filter down in front of the trans.
Lil' yep..I did sell my old engine and other parts..had a bit of $ trouble at one point but all set now. The engine in there is a new engine(basically 0 miles..was wrecked in the showroom I was told), rebuilt mopar trans w/ modded/upgraded obx lsd, s1(again), running srt equal length axles with a pt turbo atx jackshaft, pt knuckles 2nd gen 33mm hubs..did the full wire tuck/shaved bay, moroso battery relocation kit, few other things here and there. Looking to repaint the exterior this year....finally
Thanks for the compliments

I dont think this is a picture of a 2gn and thus should be in the off-topic media section.

Technically its a 1st gen neon with technically a 2nd gen motor, which would make it still technically a 1st gen neon and technically not belong in the 2nd gen picture post.

But those are all technicalities.

That engine looks awfully familiar lol.
Glad to see it in running order.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
And yes it's a 1st gen. I think I've always posted my nyg pics in this forum but move it if you need to; I don't mind, and I'll post in the other section for now on :-)
Here are a couple wider shots of the bay..with my crappy cam lol.
