Wrecked the Neon...now declared TOTALED
So this wednesday I wrecked my car at 2:30am. After a lot of studying for a thermodynamics midterm at 8:00am. I was dropping off a classmate I was studying with. On my way back home leaving his neighborhood, which was still in development. Thus it did not have street lights, just a paved road and curb with the dirt lots. Anyways, as i was leaving I came across a sharp 90 degree decreasing radius corner. The road was wet and I was definately caught off gaurd, because I couldn't tell that it was as tight of a corner as it really was. I ended up understeering and hitting the curb and going over it. I was maybe doing around 40-45mph, I was just driving casually but just did not react quick enough. I also made the mistake of panicking and hitting the brakes which just perpetutated my skidding. The rim on my wheel broke and kinked the bottom of the wheel in, and the driver side wheel was kinked out. What really sucks is that I didn't even have my coilovers on for a week!! The insurance declared the car totaled because it would cost more to fix than the car is worth supposedly. Anyways, it's looks like my days for owning a neon are over. It sucks...

If I were you I am going to buy a newer Neon with the money from the insurance company. When I had an accident my previous Neon was declared totaled, but I told them that I don't really care how bad the car looks, just fix it, so they did. But really, it sucks man!!!
