So i'm in a class in college in Socal responsibility and corporate ethics. So for my main project i have decided to help with the building of a school in a country called Sierra Leone. The company green solutions has already donated almost everything needed to really get things going. But my problem is i need to make money to transport it from Here to there. the cost is roughly $7000.
Here comes the tough part, i'm currently accepted for up to a $5000 loan to start a business, pursue the idea and make the money, to pay off the loan and transport the goods, but my question what is it i can do to make this kinda money,
so far i have come up with ideas such as:
- A dance for students at my school, this would be a wet/dry event so beer, and hard liquor etc would be available. but i would also allow the underage people, guests are allowed as well.
- An auction, go to local companies asking for donations, and use some of the money to purchase items, hopefully at a discount and auction them off
- a weekend day care and when the parents enroll the child they are entered into a romantic weekend get away at a local resort.
any ideas guys? maybe something i could make and sell? or anything.
thanks for all your thoughts
