I can't believe with all the shit going on that people think this stuff is important enough to make laws, not to mention that these things actually pass. WTF

bwahahahahahahahaha

My Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 StarSpec tires are SAFER than the Bridgestone's that came on the car because they actually have hydroplane resistance. Just because they are an Extreme Performance Tire doesn't mean they are dangerous.

Some of these Politicians need to take a Performance Driving School or do some research before they come up with this shit.

I wouldn't worry about that. They can't enforce laws like that on cars that aren't registered in that state.

Thing that pisses me off, is that as soon as something political comes up that a conservative doesn't agree with the first thing the do is blame the "stupid liberals"

It's idiotic.

and the fact that I am a Liberal and I think this bill is a load of shit is beside the point.

wow...how would this help in any way?

Wouldn't you like to be a cop there..."sir can I see the specs on your tires? They look pretty nice if you ask me....and we can't have that in this state."

"Sir I saw that your car did not slide around that corner...can I see your tires please?"

"Where did you get that aftermarket thermostat?"

I can't see it passing due to it would violate anti trust laws. They would be saying that only the tire manufacturers that provide the tires for cars sold in that state are the only ones that can legally sell them in that state. Basically if I were a high end manufacturer, even tho my tires are the correct size, because they exceed the OEM spec., I can't sell them to the ppl of Oregon. It will never fly.

Just like California tried a few years back, that if a car maker didn't prouduce zero emmisions, they wouldn't be able to sell cars in California. Yeah, that happened.

I think it is funny that one of the nations largest tire distributors, les schwab, is headquartered in oregon. I would think that by limiting the tires they can sell, les schwab might lose some money. Way to look out for your businesses Oregon!
