1 thing i really dislike about my neon
i really hate driving my neon on windy days...especially @ 40+ mph. it feels like i could lose total control at any second. anyone else have this problem? Is my neon too light? perhaps its my small ass stock sized tires? i want to eliminate this problem if at all possible.
i think its fun. It happened to me today. I was doin 60 on a 2 lane road wit a ditch on either side. It was AWESOME!!

I still have the problem with coilovers. It isn't as bad as it used to be but it's still pretty damn annoying.

Lowering will help noticeably but only a bit, and remember the car is pretty damn light.

I don't have too big of a problem with wind. Maybe I'm just used to SUV's, but the neon seem's pretty stable. I had to blow by a Camaro (small eighties type) once on a windy day. The guy was having troubles keeping it straight. he was only doing 35mph so it wasn't a big feat.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.

He, He, that reminds me of the footage they had once where a cattle truck got blown off the road, and beef was running everywhere.

I think I know the problem.

the neon is a relatively light car so you will feel it regardless but lowering could help slightly.

ok so a coilover is an automobile suspension device, short for "coil (spring) over strut". It consists of a shock absorber (British: damper) with a coil spring encircling it. The shock absorber and spring are preassembled as a unit prior to installation, and are replaced as a unit when the shock absorber has leaked. This provides for optimal damping without torsional loads. Some coilovers are adjustable for ride height and hardness as well using a simple threaded spring perch similar to a nut.

N.B. On windy days more driver interaction is required to keep the car tracking straight. Neon is no worse than any other small car in the wind.
