Sealed Battery

Im looking for a sealed battery the one I have in my car says maintenance free its a Chrysler battery im wondering if I can mount this in my trunk or is it still dangerous? I need to move my ecu to where the battery is currently located. why dodge placed it on the front frame where my IC is going I just dont know :banghead:

I have my OEM battery in the trunk. It's been in there for probably almost a year now with no issues. Some people say water filled batteries are dangerous due to fumes, but I'm still alive and well. I plan on upgrading to a lighter weight battery in the future, probably sealed just to be safe. I have a write up in the How-To section about relocating the battery to the trunk, you should check it out.

thanks OB I already installed a battery in my other turbo neons trunk I just upgraded the gauge of the amp wire I didnt see it being an issue and I only plan on having it there for a month or so until i buy a sealed battery box with vent. I really need to get this damn turbo installed im having with drawls :rockon:

ac delco has a nice sealed battery.. i picked one up for around $60... the size might have been 59R, but i dont recall exactly.. no water caps = beauty

I love optima yellow tops and have used them for years. A little pricey but worthi every penny. If you are close enough i can hook u up with my discount at my shop

Dammit that sux. my car has no interior and im workin on the body kit now. Im game for the ones in the spring though
