Well I got around to installing my eBay CAI splash guard and went around town looking for an estimate to repair and paint my bumper. The previous owner was a fucking idiot and did ghetto repairs. Check these out and let me know what you think. There are cracks all the way through and big nasty chips so its time for a repaint. Im getting it fixed and painted for around 400-500 bux

Here are the install pics of the CAI Splash Guard (stainless steel)

Oh my god that poor bumper :( thankfully you're getting it done the right way. Are you going with the other style paintwork now that you're having the entire thing re-done?

I've done like half a dozen differnt chops with the black on the bumper and for some reason it just looks off to me. I really thought I would like it but I guess not, so its just going to be painted one color

I Don't know how I feel about this yet, but all it is is some vinyl I did myself. I might take it off or maybe get it painted on Im not sure yet

You should chop the day shots and try it that way. I don't care for the stripe since it's roots are Chevy.

I say lose the vinyl. It doesn't flow with any other part of the car and looks random. Definately liking the look of those chops.

Chevy inspired hmm I kind of stole them from the new Challenger, but I see what you mean LSP

Here are some new outside chops

Hey LSP not to steal any more ideas from you or anything, but how did you do the bumper flares? My driver side inner splash panel in the wheel well will not attach due to the CAI pushing on it and therefor makes it look like a flare, so I need to do the other side, but so that they actually attach instead of flapping around. Thanks

I'm partial to the second chop. Bumper flares are from here:

Comparison of my car with them and my friend Matt's without.

Thanks a lot  Yeah I checked out your thread if you mean the vinyl eyelids and vinyl overlays for the tails it looks pretty good. For the eyelids though you should color match them.

Ok guys there it is. All the paint work was done inside my shed and I was kinda paint high for a bit as a result. Obviously it was inspired by the beautiful and talented LilSparkPlug so thanks for the help and inspiriation.

*Edit* It seems the rest of the pictures don't want to work so Im going to take her out soon and get some pics of the finished product.

Nice work on repairing the bumper. It looks like it should turn out really good in the end.
