Trinity Is Gonna Hate Me... (New To Me Car Content)

Post by Canada » Tue Feb 17, 2009 11:07 pm

Among other people. I am very tired so I probably won't post pictures tonight but...

I just got home...

From picking up another car...

A 1st Gen...

ACR Sedan...

IN NYG!!!! According to the other .org this is one of only 17 made. (NYG ACR Sedans)

It needs some lovin' but its all there. It currently has only about 52xxx miles on it, and the interior is in great shape! The previous owner named her "Kiwi" and I think its gonna stick. Plans are to make it pretty again and keep it stock(ish)

I also bought it for $350 Canadian...

:thefinger:

Meh...One sh*tty cell pic for y'all.

Nice find. But how can you tell its an ACR? There's a bunch of first gens in a junk yard near me, some still in fairly good condition. If I find an ACR I may try to snag it.

The easy one is a base car with rear discs and a rear bar. For coupes having "s22y" in the vin signifies that it is a base coupe with a DOHC, acrs are the only way this was available

I know they're rare and all.. But I could not ever own a car that was that ugly color. NYG is disgusting.

who drives a minivan? My car is smaller than most sport compacts and shorter than most Neons. If anyone is driving a minivan its all the Caliber drivers on this site.

I guess the NYG's are like those multicolored VW's.. Some people like 'em, I think they are ugly.

True that.

Thanks for letting us know how much you paid for it, too many people don't like to disclose that information and I do not understand why. It usually because they got ripped off.

Pretty cool little car Canada, you will love it! 1st gens are fun little cars.

His car is lowered like 2 inches though Ryan.

Great car man, and awesome price. Let me know if you want to sell it, I'll buy it at Carlisle. I REALLY want my NYG back from tina, but she wont sell it to me. I'm about to have the spot for it and everything too.

Your car is 2" taller than a stock MS3, and 3" taller than a neon.

My car as it sits is shorter than 5th generation Camry parked next to me in the parking lot

My point was the Caliber's over all shape, height, and size is more minivan like than the MS3.

I really don't think he meant it like your car is a minivan.. he was using it as people buy minivans...but I wouldn't... there is a car for everyone.

Don't get some defensive :)

I'm defiantly going to need them instead for drag slicks. They are the same wheels I put on my 98.

Well, the ultimate goal is to bring it as close to stock as possible without going to crazy about 100% authenticity.

I may or may not do a few little Mopar Performance things to it, but my first goal is to get her running again...

Don't want to get anyone too excited, but I MAY bring her to Carlisle... May.

Get a mopar computer of course, and try to find a nice Mopar header. A set of black koni struts and mopar highrate springs. Infact, if you want, I have a set of Koni black struts right now I'll sell to you. 60K miles on them.

Considering I already have the best OE cam in it (95 SOHC) I was definitely gonna grab a Mopar PCM.

I have a set of High Rates on the drag car that may get changed out for coils, so it would go on the ACR. What kind of shapes are the struts in and what are you looking for thme? PM me buddy...
