Bad Vibes with dogbones?

i have bwoody mounts that are almost identical to the dog bones and you will hate life for about 2 weeks until you get use to them but you can do the smoothest launches with them

Hate life!? wow...they sound rough. Haha. Do you think they softened up at all or was it all just getting used to it?

Since they're solid mounts, don't bet on them softening up much. I have Prothane race MM inserts and the vibration increase was noticeable but hardly unbearably so. You know how your car feels when it's about to stall if you let the clutch out too fast? That's how it feels ALL THE TIME now.

Yeah, basically. It's not as bad as it sounds, and now that I'm totally used to it I don't notice. Everything in the car vibrates; spare change in the cupholder, ebrake button, dash panels. Add that to an intake, exhaust, and stripped trunk and the car is ridiculously uncomfortable for a daily. I love it though!

Getting the distance set properly for the top torque strut will minimze the vibrations. I can notice a huge difference if I have done something with the upper one, and not get it back to where it should be.

that is true, if you pre load the engine into the correct position like the fsm says, it will vibrate less.

I never measured my top mount, I was thinking about that the other day too. How are you supposed to measure that amount in millimeters anyway? I can't think of a good accurate way to do it.

Just use a tape measure, that's how I did it. I moved it a little further back since it comes back some when you remove the jack.
