p.s measurements like the base of the spoiler (end closest to the back of the car) be so many inches (cm) from the edge of the trunk etc, etc.

Someone had a pattern that you can print out that you can cut out and place the pieces on your trunk then you just drill where the holes in your pattern says to. It's what I used and it worked perfectly. I'm thinking it was Danteneon?? Might be wrong. hopefully someone can confirm.
If you do get it, be sure to line your bolts up with your pattern holes. Something about the printer not printing it to the appropriate size (not to scale) and my first print was off.

umm maybe same shape and what not, but if im not mistaking in that "how-to" the author states that its on the 03-05 trunks or something like that. apparently theres 4 rounds pieces of metal in the later 2gn trunks. and in mine they werent there (the round things) but i could be wrong :SBoyscoutgonebad wrote:Aren't all trunks the same 00-05? umm man id love to BUT, i dont want to have to cut my brackets to do the "flip-flop" mod, also, i Have a monster energy sticker on the back below my 3rd brakelight and id hate to get rid of that. sorry. lolsuperdan wrote:I have an idea, how about we just trade trunks? i have holes for the spoiler in mine and i want a spoilerless trunkcome on, it would save you the hassel in case you drill the holes wrong lol

I found it! It was in my PM's the whole time. I was right, Danteneon was the one who sent me the link.

And no, the underside of the trunks aren't all the same. If I recall, '02 was when they started predrilling the holes for the spoilers. I had to make my own holes also. It's an ugly mess but it does what it should.
Saw you're putting the SRT spoiler on. You might have to adjust your spring settings on your trunk. I know I had to and I still get a lot of bouncing noise. Not sure if my trunk just doesn't close tight or my car rides too hard or what. Let me know if you get this noise also.
EDIT: Just looked at that instruction page and noticed they have you putting a rubber piece on the inside of the trunk right by the tail lights. Maybe this is what I need to eliminate the noise.

Note: IIRC, this will not work with the '01 Hammerhead spoiler.
Just to prevent someone from drilling the holes in the wrong place, if they were installing one. Could be why the '00-'01 decklids are different, due to the different hole locations.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
