(waring) every body better check your tierod ends
yesterday i was driving my girlfriend 2002 neon and we have felt a viberation for a while now.stupid me thougt it was a wheel baring.but when we was driving the car stated to shake bad i told her i was going to turn around and take it home. just a few more miles down the road after i turned around. i said we are geting a flatt right at a gas station exit. so i pulled in got out and looked.the tire was off the rim.. i was like wow...we went to change the flat and no spare.. i was like what a day..but any way i took off the tire and looked and seen where it had rubed the strut. ....put the spare on after geting one..and she said the car wont move..i was like what...then i got looking didnt see anything on the driver side where i just changed the flat and then went to the passeger side and the wheel was cocked out ward..the tie rod end was broke complete off..thank the good lord . it happened like it did. could have been badd other wise and i had my 6 year old son in the car..got looking and it was lack of grease..no grease what so ever on it..so like im going to do.. is check my other neons.and i just wainted to let everyone elese to know so they can check theres. these are things that really dont get checked alot...

Car was fine other than needing a pair of new rod ends. Broke in a parking garage after going over a large speed bump. Obvious loss of steering and control. Thankfully it broke there under slow speed, would have been going about 100km an hour a few minutes later.

which tie rod did the you change? inner or outer? if you changed the inner, you probably got the wrong part..... what about the outer? if you changed that, what part/ brand did you get?negusjuda wrote:i actually just got my right one changes along with control arm bushing and for some odd reason it wont get aligned right it pulls hard to the left i even took it to 2 diffrent places and both places test drove it either they just dont like me and wanted my money or the service techs around here are really stupid plus if u change one tie rod end dont u have to change the other
