I want a system that talks to me

Post by Swordfish2Cowboy » Mon Feb 23, 2009 9:45 pm

Was watching someone do a cluster diagnostic test a while back on here and their alarm system talked to them and said it was disarmed or something. Who makes those? What should I ask for when trying to find one? Voice response? I've looked a bit and found alarms that will "warn" people "in a stern voice" if they hit your car or some shit, I'm not too worried about that. I want a siren outside and a Siren inside. :) Help.

it's no different than an alarm that makes noises, they just have a voice for the audio file for any given action.

Okay, but normally aren't these noises broadcasted outside of the car? Like the "armed" audible? I want to hop into my car, turn my key, and have some sexy voice tell me hello.

just like everything else in life, if you are willing to pay for it someone is willing to do it. i am sure there are alarm systems that will do that but they are gonna cost more. i'd suggest calling some local alarm places and see if they can help.

You should better find yourself a nice girlfriend. Believe me - it's better to have a real girlfriend than dreaming of your cars nice voice.
The voice is just the first step. Later you will sit on your knees and try to stick "something" in your exhaust while pushing the remote...

Yeah, stay away from the TB! The throttle plate might not like you!
Notice no one ever talks about the throttle snapping shut? :runaway:

Viper was one of the first compannies to comeout with "THE talking alarm"" I dont think you will find one except maybe used. I last installed one in like 94. LOL. As for siren I have a tone lying around if you want one and for the insid ei recommend piezo siren. They are a pressure siren and mess with your ears. I have two in each outer vents. LOUD as hell. Let me know if you want a siren. As for the piezo Im out at the moment but I can get them no problem.

Haven't really decided on the type of tone I want, but the pressure siren sounds like a good option for the interior. Hopefully I figure out how to use it well enough that it never goes off on me. :P

I dunno, my friend is big into electronics, I'll just have to talk more with him and see what he says. He says it's fairly simple.

Yes happened to me once when I left the keys in the car and it armed itself. Well I have a proximity sensor so as soon as I put my hand in the car it went off right as my ear went by the vent. THAT hurt. LOL

Yea they just have a red which is positive and black negative. It runs together with ur xternal siren. If u run more than 2 at a time u need to add in a relay so not to blow the output of the alarm. I have 2 inside the car ane they hurt.
