ABS vs non-ABS axle?

Questions about axles, transmissions, differentials, pretty much anything that connects the engine to the wheels, this is the place for those questions.

ABS vs non-ABS axle?

Post by trvlngcow » Thu Feb 26, 2009 4:34 am

I am going to replace my axles then I do my motor swap and suspension rebuild. The axles I was looking at are cheaper and available but only come in an "with ABS" version and my car does not. Does it make any difference? I know the ABS has the gear teeth on the shaft. Will they get in the way?

They shouldn't get in the way, afaik they only used 1 knuckle/upright on all 2gn's (not including SRT)

You will be fine. The gear teeth do not get in the way at all. I'm running an ABS driver's side half shaft on my non-ABS car right now.
