It's just the ring around the headlight, not the actual chrome housing.

Some people call turbochargers superchargers because it does supercharge the air into the manifold.

Technically the difference is in the drive. A SC is always belt driven, and a TC is always exhaust driven. No ifs, ands, or buts!

A general Webster definition isn't exactly technical. These are the same people who include a definition for "Jedi" in their official dictionaries.
