hey guys i bought a 00 neon LE it has all the options including fogs but they for sum weird reason dont work....i have the fog switch and the fog light but when i turn the fogs ON the fogs dont turn on and the cluster bulb indicating the fogs are on dosnt come on also. wuts up? fuse is good in the dash. and yes there on low beams when i try the fogs. how would i test the MFS if it might be the problem?

I was also thinking might be the MFS. When my sister bought her '03 SXT the fogs wouldn't come on and my dad just swapped out the MFS without even trying anything because he said it's such a common problem. Sure enough, the fogs worked just fine after that. As for how you would go about testing the MFS, that I do not know.

if the mfs was bad would the light indicator for the fogs in the cluster not come on when i switch the fogs on?

ya so it hase to be the MFS....i mean what else would it be? gonna go pick up a used one out o JY tomorrow if it aint too much...

did you check the bulbs? you mentioned everything BUT that. and that would be the most obvious problem to start with.

^It's a lot easier to replace a MFS than get to the fog light bulbs... And the chances that both, and the cluster light are burned out just doesn't seem too likely. A MFS won't cost that much, I'd do that first since it's most likely the issue.

^ You hit the nail on the head...was the MFS. To check your MFS to see if its fried.(this is to check fogs) Put a ohm meter on pins 12 and 13. If there is NO current flow between them when the fogs are on the switch is fried. if there IS switch is good. Here is a better pic!
