Any one know of good Carbon Fiber Companies
Hey everybody. I am so aggrivated. It all started when I saw a carbon fiber wiper cowl on ebay. I was so impressed I bought it to go with my hood Im getting in April. Feedback was like high 98's so I figured company was really good. Well 2 weeks went by and I finally got my item. Now I have worked with fiberglass and stuff for years so I know the basics of a rush job and one that took time. I open up the box hoping to see a beautiful piece of art and start noticing multiple things wrong. Mainly the weave practically fell apart in some areas and they persisted to clear over it anyway. WTF!!!
So I called the company (American Carbon Fiber) and I told them about everything. They have no prob taking it back and trying to make me a new 1. So no problem, now at the same time I purchased an Armrest (also carbon fiber) from Katrina Treasures on ebay. Now she had 100 positive feedback. Well it took 6 weeks to finally get this piece of crap and its warped, the weave is messed up in a few areas and the clear has pit marks everywhere. Double WTF.
So i just sent her an email. Anyway what Im getting at is, are there any reputable shops maybe local that do this composite work. If I had the time I would make my own but Im at the point to where I just want to pay to get it done. Thanks in advance!!!

Yup, carbonbydesign is the only company that I've not heard bad things about. This is why I won't by carbon fiber stuff, I've heard so many horror stories about other stores I just stay away from it. Usually it's with hoods, but a lot of side skirts and A-pillar pieces have arrived looking like shit or just damaged in general.
I hope you get it resolved with them. Taking pictures to show them is the best idea, that should tell you if they're willing to stand behind their products. If they refuse to remedy the situation after that. I would call it a scam.

whether or not they claim to clear there carbon fiber it is ALWAYS a good idea to have your carbon parts cleared with a good UV resistant clear. and as to carbonbydesigns some of there parts are okay,i have had they're B pillar covers,C pillar covers, fuel door and not very impressed with any of it.i have given up on carbon fiber because i cannot find parts that please me with good quality, and i hear that there carbon AVS spoiler is a horror story in many cases.so its a crap shoot any way you look at it

I like people who BUY a 10 sec car and then brag about it. Thats like hiring someone to bang your wife and then bragging about the kid

I have dealt with both on many occasions when i had my civic. The quality was really good and it fit quite well. Plus there customer service was great and delivery time was fairly fast. I have not dealt with them now in about 2 or so years so i don't know how the service is or products. Here are a few pics of the carbon fiber front end they sold me. The only thing i was not happy with was there hoods because the latch on the carbon hood was not secured very well and actually broke off while i was driving.
