removing atx shifter

i want to paint my atx shifter surrounde, so i went out today and looked at it and i have no sweet clue how to get it out, i see the screw in the knob but thats all i can find, other then that i have no clue,

If you unscrew that screw it should release the knob, the surround should pop up like any plastic piece.

sooo does anyone know exectly what i need to unscrew it, i can't get my masive head in there but i tried almost everything my father has and nothing will fit, so i'm continuing to root through lol

I believe the set screw is an allen head, you need to remove the center console (Duh) and you should see 4 star screws that hold the surround down..

T15(Torx) bit for the shifter screw, its facing the front of the car.

Remove the center console,

4 Phillips screws should be holding the surround thingy along with one light bulb
