Snapped some quick photos of the new intercooler after washing the car. Glad I took my time polishing those endtanks, they sure came out good.
Its the AGP Direct Fit.
Had to modify the front bumper to fit because of how wide it is, put in two notches on both sides.

Stock= 2.75'' core width.Tube & Fin
AGP= 4.5'' core width. Bar & Plate

I really like how it looks behind the mesh. Much more noticeable than your last one. Well done!

Oh just an FYI I paid $250 shipped for it. I pressure tested it and it held it perfect no leaks. New they go for $550 plus shipping on the AGP site. :shock:
This piece is heavy compared to the cast aluminum stocker. Probalby weighs 2-3 times as much.
I am not a fan of the BFMIC due to the fact you have to get rid of the stock crashbar.

No, don't really notice any performance gains from it. Its mainly there to keep the charge temps down and not for HP. I haven't really gotten on it yet but when I did a couple times the powerband felt smoother. That could just be in my head though. Perfect combo with the S3 that will be going on soon IMO. I would like to get it dynod and see if I did get any gains though, because I don't think anyone has a dyno comparison of just adding that intercooler and nothing else.
Chain link Fence Mod FTW!!!!!!
Stock mesh is chain link fence mod? :lol:

Well Mox, you talked me out of getting one of those crappy Bwoody's that heat soak. :thumbup:

I think it looks more like vampire teeth. And it should really put that Ford Taurus out of it's misery.

good call on the AGP direct fit. yeah, the crash bar thing is kinda sketchy, as far as having to remove it, though BFMIC's look bad as hell.

i think i remember reading somewhere that the direct fit has about 30% more cooling capacity than the stocker? say goodbye to heat soak, for sure!

Yeah I just finished installing my BFMIC last week and it does suck about having to remove it, but as soon as I can afford it I'll be picking up a CTI crashbar.

I love the look. I even gave it some chompers!

If the price is right. :thumbup:

You should get the Bwoody crash bar yellowpatrol, dirtymidwest has it on his and I guess it fit perfect with his MPX intercooler he said.

Yeah the BFMIC look badass, specially if you polish the huge endtanks and paint the front black with radiator paint. :rockon:

Love it so far. My intake temps are staying about the same or lower than the ambient temps. Once in a while at idle the intake temps will get about 5 degree's higher which really isn't bad at all.

The bwoody looks like shit IMO. I don't think it could stop a cotton ball thrown at the car.
