well if you really do have $5,000 saved up dont bother buying a hahns turbo kit as you would need to spend alot more to get it to work good.
but lets seee ill be the first to say do the srt-4 engine swap. $5k is exactly how much you need to get that project started and done.

i was thinking that... and yes i do have alot of money saved up i was thinking of selling the neon but i was like the car only has 34,000 miles on it haha so its still young but if i was going to do the srt swap i was going to buy a fucked up one of ebay a whole car and take the engine and all the other shit needed....
but thats if i go with the route....
still thinking thanks for the idea

man 34,000 miles. well thats still fresh. try and see what the most is that you can get out of it and im pretty sure u can get alot if its in good condition and with that mileage. then you could just take the money from the car and what u got saved up and buy you a real srt-4 or you can also find a srt-4 that has a salvaged title and i once saw one on ebay for like $7,000 it looked great. but yeah thats my ideas.

I wouldn't get an SRT-4 swap.
I would buy an SRT-4. They are
cheap as shit these days...seriously. Whoever said they will be worth something in a few years is wrong
Maybe sell your neon for $2-3k and use that towards it, or keep it for a DD

That's usually because the $1600 is super exaggerated from the beginning...
btw $5k is a lot...if you can get it, do it and run

shit man i put my car on craigslist for 7700... yeah i know i did that price because of the looks haha
anyways i then looked a kelly blue book price and i put it up for 5,500 and i got like 7 phone calls of ppl wanting to buy it....
so i can always go that route if i wanted... but that leaves me with no car...
hmmm decisions decisions

You get $7k from selling your car, add in $5K, and you got $12K. Then you have double car insurance to pay. Swap or boost.

So many neons so little time.

$12,000 can get you a lot....depending on what you want.
12k will easily get you a pretty bad 240 and shipped to you.

Save most of it. Cars are a horrible investment. They are guaranteed to lose money, except for the cars that are super rare.
You will like yourself more for having money in the bank.

Get an SRT-4, other than the insurance youll LOVE it. Just watch out for some of the common SRT-4 problems on any you look at.

Im not quite sure the entire list but the most common Ive heard is the 3rd gear bein FUBAR'd. I know mine has vacumn line issues but that'll be took care of in the next few weeks. Other than my boost goin wild mine has no problems. I love it!

No problem man, a SRT is well worth it if its in good shape. Could get a CSRT-4 or Balt SS Turbo if you want something brand new, cost about 5 K more though.

It's worth it to upgrade from the 2.0...
Might cost a little more than you wanted, but in the end you'll be tons happier.
