Fog light wiring colors

Post by Caraudioholic24 » Mon Mar 09, 2009 12:00 am

Hi everyone. Today I took off my bumper to prepare for my body kit and after ten min of searching I found what could be the fog light harness or should I say plug. (I have an 05 sxt w/o fogs at the moment) Now Ive ordered my mfs and halo fogs. My question is what are the colors on the clip. I have a 2 prong with what looks to be blue and black. Is that the one. I looked in the fuse box and saw the one labeled fuse and there was already a 10 amp fuse there.

Also what are the colors in side the car coming from the mfs and the fuse box. I wanna wire them up a little different. I want them to work just like the parking lights but off its normal switch from the mfs. I need the colors so I can start testing. Thanks again everyone

Search "fogs" in the "HT Electrical" section.. there's a bunch of writeups.

Yea I did but no colors for the front plug. It was near the passenger side lower radiator support but on the inside near almost the ac condensor. I think I found the other colors I need. Thanks

Well i know that the fog connector is on the passenger side at the bottom of the radiator. So it may very well be that.. there is only one way to find out. Plug a fog harness into it.

I can't recall, but I've got pictures of all the fog wiring behind the bumper from when I installed the halo fogs w/ HIDs. I will upload them when I get home from work tonight.

The foglight plugs don't have red locking clips on them. The only wires behind the bumper that have red clips that I can think of are for the horn and windshield washer pump.

I have wiper bottle hooked up and horn. This my toy so no its not my daily. Thanks 4 the heads up. As for that clip i believe the output color is light blue as well so i cant see why it wouldnt be the plug. I have the 05 sxt if that makes a difference . Waiting 4 my switch to come in now. Trial and error i guess. when im done i will do a writeup 4 everyone. Thanks

watch out for this, as i read somewhere that that plug behind the radiator is for cars that come with outdoor temperature sensor thing (European models)...

i myself tried to plug in an OEM fog light wiring harness into that thing, and it would not fit or work . just run your own wiring, because you really don't want to mess with the underdash connections to get it to work correctly anyways, simply not worth IMHO....

good luck !!!

Whenever I get around to fixing my fogs, I'll look, maybe this weekend.
