Okay a little story and some pictures tomarrow.

So heres my adventure going to get my rims for the car. So for last two months i have been driving around, without a radio, i helped out a fellow member on here with the sale of there car in which they didnt want to give up there expensive headunit, so i said what the hell and let him have it, but he would just have to get me a stocker in return. So today i start out head to his house after getting off school and pick up my radio.

After installing it, i ask him "will i beat the chicago traffic?" he said yeah if you leave now. So im out of there like a bat out of hell. Hop on 355 get down to 290e and then boom dead stop. So after nearly an hour in chicago just bumper to bumper i get on the skyway and in no time in Gary In. First time in gary, or atleast driving and i was like WTF  the roads are as bad as chicagos. So as i was battling through the mine field of a road and driving through shit ass construction I think i am scott free, then BOOM.

I swear i dont know how my engine didnt fall out/tire blow/suspension break/rim crack, but i hit a pot hole the size of texas, Woke me the fuck up . So i turn down the radio and listen for anything funky nothing really but a sort of squeaking noise.

So i eventually stop for gas 16 miles away from south bend, IN. and i check everything around my car and does seem to be anything wrong, so i check the exhaust in the back and sure enough the right side of it jumped out of the hanger. It didnt drag but i was like Wow i hit that pot hole hard.

So I finally meet at Middlebury, IN. a small little town and stop into the local Mcdonalds since i havent eaten all day. As I turn in, A horse and fucking carriage is leaving. First time i have ever seen that leaving Mcdonalds before. I then meet up with chris to pick up my rims. Nice guy and great communicator, if you ever buy something off of him, he will always be in contact and easy to get to.

Okay so the rims as 5zigen fn01r-c 18x7.5 35 offset flat black and are in great shape.

Ill have pictures tomarrow since i have work early tomarrow and its dark outside.

A few final things:
Best thing about indiana
-70mph after Gary
Worst thing about indiana
-Funky ass smells from the fields

What to know about chicago:
-Its a hell hole to drive in.
-If you even think about getting on the tolls close to 4, be prepared to be stopped.

That is all and have a good night

Wow, a horse and carriage? wtf lol.

I hate hitting potholes and then wondering if you damage anything. Good thing there wasn't any great damage.

Waiting to see pics of those rims.

Well I guess i did damage a few things coming back.

1. My wideband i just bought, took a crap on me and now reads 14.7 even at WOT.

2. Walked out in the light today and just was checking around the car and theres a "tumor" on the side of my tire

 What did i do?

Oh well i guess you have to pay to play.

And the goods.

I really like how they look.

Well not knowing the status of the tire i might have to put these on asap so i can drive the damn thing.

I would not drive the car with the tire like that. Good chance of the sidewall blowing out at any time.

You can wait for other feedback if you want. But with the cut right above the bump, and the bump itself, it's bad news. Good chance of the belts inside the sidewall being damaged enough to give loose and blow out while driving. Damaging the rim and the fenderwell.

He's probably asking because highspeed driving is harder on the tire then low speed city. But even if it is city. One little pothole and it's probably game over.

I agree with Kyle, that tire is fucked and won't last long. I would not drive on it any further than to the tire shop to have it replaced.

Or just put the new ones on and good luck?

Great log, BTW!

It's a possibility. I don't ever actually commit until I'm leaving, haha.

I'm going to try to go, though.

Thats what I was just going to say. City driving is fine. I have done it for awhile because I was tight on money and I just avoided any highway driving. High speeds will cause it to blow out.

DROOOOL!!!

Chicago roads do indeed suck. Gotta play "dodge the pot holes."

Definately get a new tire. That tire is unsafe. Rather be safe then sorry.

I would take that car right to the tire shop and have a new one put on...spend the hundred bucks and save your rims from the salt. That is NOT safe to drive on that bubble is enormous.

The scary thing about it was it happened as i was leaving Gary, so i drove for probably an hour plus down i80e going 70mph+ and then turned around and drove all the way back to my house another 2-3 hour drive and it held.

Someone was looking down at me yesterday, thank god it held.

But yes tomarrow im going to spend a good chuck of my paycheck this week and buy a tire for that rim.

Myneonsayhi: Yes I really like how they look and ill do a quick photochop for you guys of what I want the car to look like before Carlisle. Oh BTW you icon is epic :laughing3:
