Remove my lettering?

Post by lilnicko11 » Mon Mar 16, 2009 10:18 pm

So I'm contemplating taking off my DODGE and NEON off the back of my 02 acr. What are others feelings about this? If I do it, should i leave it bare or maybe pick up some Caliber lets and have it say ACR where it used to say Neon. thanks for the input guys :)

i did it to mine and like it. the thing you gotta worry about though is fading. it depends on how well your paint has been taken care of or if you keep your car outside or in a garage. it would suck taking off the lettering only to find that your paint is faded and you're left with "ghost" letters

It won't be as obvious on Silver as dark blue though.I took the SXT badge off mine a few months ago and theres no sign that it was ever there and I keep the car outside. I don't know about the previous owner though and I've only had it since June

I took the SXT badge off with no problems, no fading on the silver paint from it. The older the car and more solid the color the more likely for paint discrepancy.

I left the rest of the badges on so people know what the fuck just blew by

Doet. Don't worry about fading, it's an urban myth.

I'm planning on taking the hair dryer to the DODGE NEON as well soon. I might have other plans and they'll be in the way

it looks decent. i can see some sticky marks still left but should be all gone after a nice good wash and scrub down.
