Installing SRT sway bars, check over my parts list

Post by kevin25 » Wed Mar 18, 2009 9:54 am

Ok I am going to be buying SRT sway bars. Go over my parts list and tell me if I need anything else.

4656479AB - Left Clamp
4656478AB - Right Clamp
$4.20 each

Bolts x4 6506203AA - $1.95 each
I also need front and rear endlink sets and bushings
My dealer is out of the clamps and bushings, does any one know if I can get these clamps, bushings, and endlinks somewhere else? I know I can get the bolts at lowes grade 8 8mm-1.25x50mm hex bolt
Thanks

You will need 4 bolts per sway. (For the clamps)

You mentioned front and rear end links so I'm assuming two bars.
I couldn't find any endlinks in the right length locally around my area. The dealer may be your option there, unless you cut to length.

Edit: Maybe I misread that.
The clamps you have listed are for the rear also.

Front clamp: 4656 513AA same both sides
Front screws: 6505 622AA
EditIII:
Are you just reusing the front hardware, and do your rear struts have the provision for a rear sway, since the parts you have listed are for the rear. If you didn't have a rear sway, and the struts are oem, then chances are you will have to fab a bracket, or replace the rear struts.

(Neon, SRT-4)
00-06 Front End Link Kit 4-401
00-06 Rear End Link Kit 19-413

http://www.ajusa.com/details/index/647/ ... TP%204-401

http://www.ajusa.com/details/index/647/ ... P%2019-413

then depending what size bars you are getting

(Neon, SRT-4)
95-06 Front Sway Bar Bushing Kit, 20mm Bar 4-1118
95-99 Front Sway Bar Bushing Kit, 22mm Bar 4-1119
00-06 Front Sway Bar Bushing Kit, 24mm Bar 4-1120
95-99 Rear Sway Bar Bushing Kit, 16mm Bar 4-1111
00-06 Rear Sway Bar Bushing Kit, 12mm Bar 4-1130
00-06 Rear Sway Bar Bushing Kit, 14mm Bar 4-1131
00-06 Rear Sway Bar Bushing Kit, 17mm Bar 4-1137

(the 4-XXXX is the part number you can use to search for the item)

this is all assuming that you want prothane bushings, but why wouldnt you? :)

Thanks guys this helps out alot. I have the srt suspension so tabs are already on the struts.
Also are the endlink kits here come as a two pack and do the bushings come as a two pack?
The dealers are out of the the clamp brackets for the rear so they would be an order unless I find them online with say grease fittings like the hotchkiss.
This brings me back to my next question, should I just buy the hotchkiss setup? It would already come with everything I need?
Thanks

Prothane endlink and bushing kits always come as two-packs. I doubt that the Hotchkiss kit would contain the clamps you need, but I could be wrong. If you buy Prothanes you don't need any grease fittings.

Hope this helps.
