Evo 8 plate holder

Post by [DJ]Tomski » Wed Mar 18, 2009 4:02 pm

Anyone using the Evo XIII license plate holder on their neon? I'm interested to see how they look and are attached. I dont wanna have holes in my bumper and dont wanna make my own brackets. Please post pics.

What's the point of having a plate on the front? Why do some states require it? Florida FTW!

In MA I was told it was so the cops have a flat surface to aim the radar gun at.

I was going to build a detachable front license plate holder but no one was interested.

that would look worse than the ugly regular license plate holder

i'm sure people would buy it if the price is right. i dont really care if mine is detachable, i just want a nice clean look. imo the regular plate holder looks horrible right in the middle of the bumper and i dont want holes either

I didn't think mine looked all that bad. I'd have to agree and say mine looks much better than front and center across the middle of the grill.

Mine is held on by two pieces of angle aluminum, and rivets. Hasn't flown off yet

I took mine off. Cops around here don't seem to care. I have a few friends running around front plate-less and they haven't done anything about it. I'm sure if I did get a ticket, they'd tack that on there as well.

i though he meant the honeycomb grill. i had it like you before (maybe lower) but hit a chunk of snow/ice on the highway and cracked my bumper and lost my front plate. which is the reason im thinking of a good way to mount it without drilling holes in my replacement bumper.

I'm in the same boat with TX. You should see the one on my mom's Stratus if you think ours looks bad. Hers sticks out like a sore thumb.
