To hold 300 hp w/slicks you are going to have to spend at least $500 USD or better. I too am looking at clutches, and most that are a decent upgrade for our cars are not cheap. Most of them (except centerforce) list the PT n/a and neon as the same clutch. You are either looking at a good modular, or buying the flywheel/pressure plate/disc seperately. either way they are not cheap. It really depends on your definition of "dont want to go silly in price"
I would like a decent one for $150, but it ain't happening, not when you have to puchase a flywheel. If you have a '95 setup already, then you can just replace pressure plate disc, and TOB for a lot less.

PT Clutch, also known as the Mopar Performance Clutch.
Modern sells them:
http://www.modernperformance.com/mopar- ... -1381.html
(the disclaimer on their site is very conservative for how much this clutch will handle)
You can also get them right from the dealer.

Understandable. This clutch certainly has a different feel from stock, though.
Honestly, if you are sticking with NA I don't see you ever needing any more than the MP clutch (even with the spray).

Check HERE It is listed as Mitsubishi Eclipse 1995-1999 2.0L non-turbo but should be the same for neon. $249.00 is decent price, as long as shipping doesn't kill you. It can't be any worse than from Modern tho. Just verify it is Spec PN# SD851. If my other deal falls through, I'll be giving them a call.

even in the reviews on modernperomance, the people say it rattles on the neon....it is a headache you are better off without !!hul kogan wrote:PT Clutch, also known as the Mopar Performance Clutch.

On the other .org, they have more negative feedback on clutchmasters than positive.
Whatever that's worth.
But if you can get it with out paying shipping across the pond, then I can't blame you. Nothing sucks worse than getting raped on shipping. Granted it is a long way to ship, but paying extra on something you can get local just doesn't make sense. Have you checked into a Sachs clutch? I would think those would be available over there. They do have better than stock options too.
Ebay acution Sachs

I was looking at buying a spec from a vendor in PA, about 6 hrs from me, and they wanted $70 to ship it.
Thats my feelings on that. I could drive there for $30 in gas.
