Should I keep 6000k HID, or go 8000k, 10000k? (PICS)

Should I keep 6000k HID, or go 8000k, 10000k? (PICS)

Hey guys, After reading the glasswar's sticky, I though that the 6000's hint of blue would be enough for my blueish signals and side markers. But it turned out after installing them, that they are mostly just white, and it doesn't match the rest of my front end lights. It looks weird now that I have 2 different colors.

So the guy that sold me this set is willing to exchange my bulbs for another color if I want to, and I am trying to balance out the difference between the colors.
Would I be sacraficing much visibility by switching to 8000k?
Would you say 8000k or 10000k matches better with my signals?

Blue light is useless for visibility. Keep your 6000K's. Also, read up on your laws about blue turn signals. Some states anything other than yellow in the front is illegal.

I'm not too worried about the cops, they seem to not care about blue HIDs because I have a handful of frends who are running 8000-10000 for a year or two now and haven't gotten any crap for it yet. And I don't really drive that much at night anyways lol.

Keep your 6000ks or get 4300ks, your night vision will thank you. Anything above 6000k and you have so little usable light they are totally pointless. Not to mention they look stupid as all hell.

:facepalm1:

your lights are there for seeing at night. not to "look cool." i HATE people that go above 6000k for the tinted took, it's completely pointless. You're getting less visability than stock lights at that point, and how is that an "upgrade"?

By going any higher all you are going to accomplish is A. gain more unusable light, B. decrease your nighttime visibility, and C. look like a tardbar.

This actually brings up a question I have. What are most of the oem hid setups (bmw, lexus, infinity)?

My moms IS250 is a little blue, her old 330ci was blue and my friends g37 is kind of blue. Does this mean they're running 6000k? Just curious.

I think most OEM's are 4300K. I wouldn't be surprised to ses 5000K in though.

My Cadillac had 4300k but I upgraded to 6000k bulbs. They have a very slight blue tint.

Correct. I believe most OEM setups are 4300K.

Keep your 6000K, BTW.
