A cheap clutch kit... please?

I'm up to my eyeballs in part numbers and prices and nothing seems to be anywhere near reasonable. Story: my car turned over 111k a while ago and the clutch, after a couple days of slipping, went completely out (seems like neutral in all gears). I've been pricing clutch kits everywhere and it's at least $250. Here's what I've come up with:

-From Dodge dealer w/ shop discount from work: around $250 with TOB.

-Autozone (doesn't say what's included in this kit): $274

-Summit Racing, Zoom brand (also not sure if this is all I need): $251

I might have looked at some others but they were probably in the $300+ range.

To be honest I'm not even sure if it's just the clutch or not. Never had a clutch go out on me before. I do know that when it happened the clutch pedal seemed to stick to the floor for a second, something made a thud sound and the clutch popped back up. All neutral since then.

So... to recap.

Any clutch cheaper than the ones I've listed here?

Does it, indeed, sound like the clutch went out? Or might I have done something worse?

I'm looking at replacing my clutch this summer as well. Another one to add to you list is the Mopar Performance Clutch

sounds about like when my clutch went out I've been through 2 one in my mustang and one in my neon about 2 months after i bought it. both times the bill was around $800 that was with labor though.

Due to the "modular design" of the clucth you aren't going to be much cheaper. You are replacing the flywheel, clutch disc, and pressure plate all in one shot. You could go to a '95 set up, but that will cost even more. Future replacements would be less, but then will the rest of the car make it that long?

I'd rock the one from modern, the "mopar performance clutch" is the N/A PT clutch. Feels like stock, holds 270 WTQ, good to go.
