tie rod question

Post by Xtian » Fri Mar 27, 2009 11:39 pm

So, I recently replaced both my front inner tier rods, because of a loud tapping noise coming from the driver's side tire. Tapping is still there but not as loud as before. I was told that probably the caliper is stuck or not working correctly, because whenever I brake there is a squeaking noise coming from the same wheel. What do you guys/gals think it could be? I dumped a lot of money into the car for the last couple of months.

tapping is always there, cornering, accelerating, going down a hill.
when going over a bump front suspension squeaks a little bit, but not really bad.

i would look at the axle or possibly the lower control arm and ball joint. Never had a tie rod make a tapping noise before
