Eibach Pro-Kit or Sportline

Post by paranoir » Sat Mar 28, 2009 6:31 pm

I am ordering a wheel and tire package from Tirerack, 17x7 ASA AR1 rims with Yokohama Parada Spec-2 205/40-17's. Should I go with the Pro-Kit or Sportline springs? The Pro-kit is 1.5" drop and the Sportline is 2" drop... I have no body kit or anything, wich would look best? I am trying to go for a nice clean look...

Would the 2 inch drop be too low where it wouldnt even be driveable on normal streets with shitty potholes?

speed bumps were a bitch, and potholes where hard and short lived.

Yeah I THINK you just inspired me to get the sportline, I like it hard anyway. But how long would it last if I was using the stock struts???????????

Just buy Tokico HPs. Not lowering spring is going to last on a stock strut with who knows how many miles on them. Don't be cheap here, it's not a good idea. You'll just have to rip it all back apart soon to do it the right way. They're like $250 shipped on eBay

I ordered the wheel and tire package with the sportline springs. Since my old summer tires were DEAD and I have to get my studs off soon, should I just throw on the new 17's and leave off the springs for now until I get the Tokico's? -OR- should I test my luck trying to baby it with stock struts and lowering springs for the next 2-3 months until I can get the new ones?

Basicly, if im not going to murder more then just the struts by doing it, I dont mind

Stock struts... not long. New replacement performance struts should get you at least 50kish if not a bit more.

just go ahead and wait till u get some new struts its not worth ruining ur stock struts besides you could sell your stock one when u get ur new ones that is if u dont blow them by putting ur lowering springs on them
