^ u can easily get a d40 and be very happy with it if ur not looking to be some kind of pro photographer... d40 is a awesome beg. dslr...u can also get them pretty cheap now ...

I love my D40, and from what a photography instructor told me alot of the Nikon's share the same sensor, and the D40 has one of the better sensors out of their models.

I got my D60 with the 18-55mm VR lens, the 55-200mm VR lens a 4GB ultra 3 card for $550.
