I'm not worried, nor are nix and mac users.
If it does hit, it'll only affect n00bs. By n00bs I mean people with no sense of how to protect their computer from any sort of virus or malware. I've cleaned so many machines its hard to even count them anymore. People need to start becoming more secure with their computers. You wouldn't leave your house unlocked for people to come and party in while you were gone; why would you do so with your computer?

One day however, Skynet will takeover.

It might be called Conficker in this reality.

Anyway, I've scanned my important computers for this virus with many different tools. Nothing came up. I even did a few tests like visiting certain websites that were said to be blocked if you had that virus. I was able to view them with no problem. So I'm not all that worried about it.

My crappy computer that I download stuff and experement with diffrent programs and things on probably has it though, I wouldn't doubt it. But it's time to format that machine anyway. I still have my trial version of Windows 7 I need to try out.

At home: 2 macs running OS X, Windows Vista, Windows 7. Neither windows partitions are connected to the internet

My netbook runs OS X, Ubuntu, Windows 7. Only ever use the OS X side.

Girlfriend uses XP and doesn't do shit to protect her computer. It was running just fine this morning.

Who gives a fuck. It's more than likely media hype, and if not, meh.... shit happens.

I have XP and don't seem to be affected. I can still get to the windows update page.

I had no one bring a computer to me today infected with the virus. Must be a joke of a virus, because the people in my area are idiots. Surely one of them should have been infected.

Bah, it a bunch of bologna. I ran my crappy computer (without anti-virus) all day, surfing the web, looking for trouble, and nothing happened. I've only ever gotten one virus on it over the 7 or 8 years I've had it and it was some stupid virus that took 1 second to delete.

People get way too freaked out over viruses. I had a kid in my English Composition today who thinks he is 'teh sheet' at website development (my ass) and he was freaking out about how this virus was going to take over the world!!! I contemplated punching him in the face several times over.

What else is new. They're making viruses for PC's all the time.
