The actual reflector, or bowl, is cheaply made. It's not a very smooth, consistant, glossy finish.
Then the actuall glass of the projector, its pretty much garbage. The glass quality has to be extremely low, and does not really intensify the light all that much.
I wouldn't be worried about replacing the shield, that peice of metal is designed similarly (note the itallics
) to higher end projectors.
The answer to your question I guess, but some better quality projectors, and a true HID kit (something that uses a D2S bulb), and retro them into the stock/aftermarket headlight housing.

is this type of projectors are you talking about. because i might buy them if they areLilSparkPlug wrote:I'm not sure at all the dimensions on the projector in the 00-02 headlights. I know the MDX projectors fit alright in the 03-05 MPX projector headlights. But you still need to mod them a bit.

what i'm thinking is buy the mdx projectors. take out the high beam and install them there. so i can have duel projectors. I think that could work outLilSparkPlug wrote:That's your light output? WTF? It's all cockeyed and stuff. And yes Acura MDX projectors but again I don't know the dimensions of the projector you currently have to say if it would definitely work or not. I'd hate to say buy them....and they don't work.
